Role Overview

The primary role of the Regional Sales Manager is to promote, grow, and support sales and business development of IMI products in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, focusing on results and providing superior solutions.

This role emphasizes driving growth for our advanced control valves with digital capabilities and automation. The target audience includes contractors, reps/distributors, designers, and OEMs.

This position involves proactive networking, attending trade shows, engaging with leads, and building industry relationships.

Work Environment: This is a remote role with up to 75% travel to customers, trade shows, and events. Travel varies based on business needs, with some weeks requiring no travel and others 1–4 days on the road. Flexibility is built into the role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive business development within the region, closing opportunities through a consultative, value-based sales approach.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and reps to support product promotion and expansion.
  3. Provide technical and commercial support for complex projects, including training and customized solutions.
  4. Represent IMI at trade shows and industry events, engaging in presentations and seminars.
  5. Monitor market trends, projects, and competitor activity; communicate insights to leadership.
  6. Use CRM tools to track interactions, opportunities, and results.
  7. Provide sales forecasts and contribute to regional sales goals.
  8. Support customers throughout the sales cycle from pre-order to post-installation.
  9. Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and training initiatives.

Critical Competencies For Success

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related; MBA preferred. 3+ years of manufacturing sales management preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydronic balancing valves and HVAC flow control is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% annually based on needs.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with reps, distributors, contractors, and engineering firms.
  • Experience in product training and customer presentations.
  • Proven success in meeting sales quotas.
  • Highly organized, driven, team-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License; fluent in English.

Pay Range: $130,000-$150,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

Position eligible for variable incentive pay.
