Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Region Trainer to build a culture of safety across multiple sites in the Cincinnati area. You will train new hires, deliver CMV driver and compliance training, and ensure OSHA/DOT standards are met to protect employees and communities.

Join a safety-focused team responsible for documentation, competency checks, toolbox talks, and field coaching to improve operational safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to train others in a clear, understandable and professional manner.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA requirements related to waste hauling.
• 5+ years experience keeping detailed safety records and interpreting regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead new hire safety orientation sessions.
• Deliver CMV driver training, covering pre-trip inspections and safe operating practices.
• Conduct OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA compliance training for all operational roles.
• Partner with safety SME to develop HE and PIT training programs.
• Maintain training documentation, attendance, and certifications.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and safety huddles.
• Support incident investigations with training-related insights.
