Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Columbus, OH is seeking a Region Trainer to build a culture of safety across multiple sites. Qualifications

• Experience in safety training and program delivery.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with maintaining training documentation.
• Ability to conduct field observations and coaching.
• Must have valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead new hire safety orientation sessions that set the tone for a safety-first mindset from day one.
• Deliver CMV driver training, including pre-trip inspections and safe operating practices.
• Conduct OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA compliance training for all roles.
• Develop and manage HE and Certified PIT training programs with SMEs.
• Maintain training documentation for audits and internal tracking.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety huddles with actionable messaging.
• Perform field observations and ride-alongs to coach employees.
• Identify training needs with operations and address safety trends.
• Support incident investigations with training-related insights.
• Assist with site health & safety inspections/audits.
