Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across the assigned region. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and on-site operations to identify hazards and implement proactive safety measures.

The role requires ASP and/or CSP certification, knowledge of OSHA/NFPA standards, a bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience. This is an on-site position in California with a base pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations/standards including California OSHA, Federal OSHA, NFPA, and federal/state/local regulations

Responsibilities

• Support the Apartments Community Management group to ensure associate safety and minimize injuries.
• Monitor training compliance and ensure all safety training occurs; manage follow ups as needed.
• Develop proactive processes, procedures, systems, tools and metrics to drive continuous improvement and prevent future injuries.
• Lead the development of risk mitigation tools such as accident prevention plans and safety procedures.
• Perform on-site accident investigations and inspections to develop corrective actions.
• Conduct site safety walks in the assigned region and identify safety concerns.
• Meet with site teams to discuss safety concerns and opportunities to reduce risk.
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Capital Projects and Development to resolve hazards.
• Provide safety expertise and stay current with OSHA regulations and best practices.
• Support Fire and Life Safety Systems inspection processes.
