Job summary

HumanGood Community Support Center in Duarte, CA, seeks a Regional Safety Manager to advance safety and emergency preparedness across communities. You will partner with leadership to assess risk, investigate incidents, strengthen readiness, and enforce safety standards.

The role travels regionally, supports corrective actions, and promotes a proactive safety culture. Requires five years in safety/risk, CSP/CHSP preferred, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in safety-related field.
• 5+ years in occupational safety, EH&S, healthcare safety, or risk management.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CMS, state/local safety requirements; emergency preparedness exposure.
• Experience supporting drills, incident response, and regulatory readiness.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication; ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Implements safety programs and standards across communities.
• Provides guidance to executives and leaders on safety, risk, and loss prevention.
• Conducts safety assessments and on-site inspections at communities.
• Partners with clinical, facilities, HR, and operations to mitigate risks.
• Performs hazard analyses, ergonomic reviews, and PPE assessments.
• Investigates significant injuries, incidents, and property losses; performs root-cause analyses.
• Monitors safety metrics, injuries, and claims to identify trends.
• Conducts safety audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation planning.
• Supports OSHA, CMS, fire authorities’ safety requirements and exams.
• Delivers safety training and communications to leadership and staff.
• Maintains knowledge of safety practices and regulatory developments.
