Academy Fire in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a proactive Safety Specialist to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team. You will support planning, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs across regions, collaborating with field technicians, supervisors, and management to strengthen safety culture and regulatory compliance.

The role requires field inspections, training delivery, incident review, and safety guidance for operations.

Formación

• 2 to 5 years of safety experience in construction, skilled trades, or a related industry
• OSHA 30‑Hour Certification (Construction and/or General Industry)
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and reporting requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel)
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; attention to detail
• Ability to travel regionally up to 50% and work independently

Responsabilidades

• Promote and cultivate a strong safety culture within assigned districts and regions
• Partner with technicians, supervisors, and leaders to influence safe work behaviors
• Administer safety training programs to meet organizational and regulatory requirements
• Maintain safety records and EHS systems (OSHA logs, incident files, inspections)
• Coordinate and deliver OSHA-related training, lift certifications, and fall protection training
• Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Provide technical safety guidance to operations teams and support corrective actions
