Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. seeks a Regional SC Safety Manager to oversee safety leaders across the region, develop and enforce EHS strategies, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This field-based role requires travel up to 50% and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive safety performance and accountability. Key duties include policy implementation, risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and building regional talent through recruiting and coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/professional experience.
• Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist required.
• 8-10 years of environmental, health and safety experience, including leading safety audits.
• 5 years of experience managing people leaders.
• Proficient with MS Office, including Excel.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leaders across the region and recruit/develop staff.
• Develop and implement EHS strategies regionally and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee safety scorecards, audits, and documentation.
• Support incident investigations and emergency preparedness.
• Provide safety training and foster a culture of safety and inclusion.
