Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Safety Manager to lead EHS processes for the home site and across the Supply Chain network. You will drive safety performance, develop written programs, and oversee audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and a strong safety culture.

The role focuses on Hazardous Waste, incident trend analysis, and collaboration with Engineering/Facilities to implement safe equipment and processes. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• 7+ years' experience in Safety or Occupational Safety and Health.
• ASP certification or higher preferred.
• Experience leading a warehouse safety team and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of Environmental regulations and Hazardous Waste.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR).
• Strong organizational, time management, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety instruments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of strategic EHS processes across the home site and Supply Chain network.
• Develop and maintain site-specific EHS programs and procedures.
• Investigate incident trends and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Facilities on new equipment safety.
• Oversee Safety Committee and Behavior Based Safety initiatives.
• Conduct regular safety and health audits of the facility.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal safety and fire laws.
• Monitor regulatory inspections and respond accordingly.
• Oversee Hazardous Waste program including inspections and training.
• Support regulatory reporting and audits across the network.
• Plan and control EHS budget to balance cost with safety goals.
