Job summary

ElectriCom, a utility construction company, seeks a Safety Specialist to support and coordinate safety programs across projects. This remote/hybrid role requires collaboration with Senior Safety & Risk Manager and site leadership to develop, implement, and enforce safety policies.

Responsible for OSHA/DOT compliance, training delivery, incident investigations, and communicating safety information organization-wide.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of construction safety experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• OSHA510 or OSHA500 (Construction Industry Outreach Trainer) certification.
• First Aid/CPR Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other applicable safety regulations for the utility construction industry.
• Perform thorough job-site safety observations and audits and address hazards.
• Conduct and facilitate employee safety trainings on OSHA topics and company initiatives.
• Partner with the Senior Safety & Risk Manager on investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety observations and actions with operational leadership.
