Job summary

ElectriCom is seeking a Safety Specialist for a remote/hybrid role with a local Florence, TX presence. You will support and coordinate safety programs, partner with the Senior Safety & Risk Manager, and help develop, implement, and enforce safety policies.

The role requires OSHA/DOT knowledge, conducting site safety audits, leading incident investigations, and delivering training. You will travel up to 60% across Texas and promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction safety, with demonstrated safety leadership.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required for training and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations.
• First Aid/CPR Instructor certification preferred.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations.
• Conduct job site safety observations and audits; address hazards.
• Deliver safety training on OSHA topics and company initiatives.
• Investigate incidents with root-cause analysis; report findings.
• Coordinate with operational leadership on safety observations and corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture with leadership and employees.
• Develop, implement, and sustain company-wide safety initiatives.
• Travel throughout Texas up to 60%.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
