Job summary

RiverTech, an Akima company, is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs and ensure OSHA/DCSA-compliant operations across multiple facilities. The role emphasizes proactive risk reduction, incident investigations, and training delivery to a centralized region.

The position requires a 75% travel commitment, US citizenship, a SECRET clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field. Remote work with travel to various sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on safety management experience.
• U.S. citizen and valid driver’s license.
• Current SECRET security clearance.
• Willingness to travel ~75%.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, industrial engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SOH compliance across facilities.
• Lead mishap and hazard investigations.
• Develop proactive risk reduction programs and ergonomic assessments.
• Provide region-wide training and guidance via MS Teams.
• Attend MILCON/project meetings and document safety concerns.
• Develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan aligned with the PWS.
