Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to oversee safety operations across multiple stations in the United States. You will lead Regional Safety Managers, ensure OSHA/FAA compliance, and drive safety programs that meet client and federal standards.

With 10+ years in airport/cargo safety services, you will coordinate audits, develop corrective actions, and keep thorough safety records. This role demands strong leadership, bilingual abilities, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all station safety operations in the applicable region.
• Ensure functions comply with company, client, and federal regulations and procedures.
• Manage Regional Safety Managers.
• Assist other Regional Directors with critical, time-sensitive issues or absences.
• Examine, analyze, evaluate, and supervise safety operations, physical safety assets, and safety personnel.
• Prepare reports and records for the management team.
• Evaluate procedures, practices, and precedents related to safety activities.
• Set priorities and audit schedules for Regional Safety Managers.
• Ensure assigned regional stations track compliance with the IQSMS Program.
• Ensure station and facility operations follow company, OSHA, FAA, EPA, airport, and client standards.
• Maintain expert knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and ensure compliance.
• Investigate safety violations and prepare reports with preventive and corrective actions.
• Identify irregular or unusual conditions that may create safety concerns.
• Maintain safety-related records required by local authorities, airline customers, FAA, and other government authorities.
• Prepare the organization and staff for third-party safety audits.
• Ensure government, customer, airline, and local regulatory safety requirements are met.
• Plan, develop, and implement safety programs to test or improve procedures at stations, facilities, and across the organization

Requirements

• Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the provision of airport/cargo safety services


• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, FAA, and other applicable regulations and airport operations


• Strong leadership qualities


• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with company clients and regulatory personnel


• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment


• Bi-lingual preferred
