Job summary

Central Valley Ag is seeking a Safety & Compliance Director to lead safety initiatives across Regions 5 and 6. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, regular site visits, coaching, and regulatory compliance in a regional, field-focused setting.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in a safety-related field and experience in occupational safety, agricultural operations, or compliance, with strong communication and travel readiness to cover multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in safety, agriculture, or relevant field.
• Experience in safety, compliance, or occupational health preferred.
• Ability to interpret OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related regulations.
• Ability to apply regulations to practical operations.
• Strong communication and leadership to influence at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers and employees to strengthen safety practices across Regions 5 and 6.
• Regularly visit CVA locations to understand operations, identify risks, and address safety concerns.
• Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other safety requirements.
• Conduct safety audits and inspect facilities, equipment, and work practices for hazards and compliance.
• Develop and follow through on corrective actions; investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate and lead employee safety training on regulations and safe practices.
• Provide coaching and technical support to employees and managers; lead safety committees.
