Central Valley Ag is seeking a Safety & Compliance Director to lead safety initiatives across Regions 5 and 6. You will partner with location managers, conduct audits, and coach teams to improve safe work practices in diverse operations.

You’ll travel to CVA locations, interpret OSHA/EPA/DOT requirements, and implement practical solutions that reduce risk. The role offers growth in a farmer-owned cooperative with strong safety culture.

Qualificações

• Four-year degree in safety, agriculture, occupational health, environmental science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in safety/compliance.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related safety requirements.
• Ability to apply regulations in a practical operating environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Regions 5 & 6.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with managers to strengthen safety practices across Regions 5 and 6.
• Visit CVA locations regularly to observe operations and address safety concerns.
• Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related safety rules.
• Conduct safety audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices.
• Develop corrective actions to address identified risks.
• Investigate incidents and near misses to prevent recurrence.
• Lead employee safety training on regulations and hazards.
• Support safety committees and regional improvement efforts.
• Coordinate return-to-work activities after injuries.
• Maintain safety documentation and supplies.
