Job summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a Safety Administrator to manage OSHA/MSHA compliance, training coordination, and safety program data across locations. Reporting to the Safety Director, this role maintains records, ensures audit readiness, and supports STRIDE values with timely safety communications.

The position emphasizes data accuracy, incident reporting, and collaboration with safety managers, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in a safety, HR, or administrative coordination role.
• Experience in heavy equipment, construction, or industrial environments preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping (29 CFR 1904) and general-industry standards; EPA/DOT a plus.
• MSHA recordkeeping/reporting (30 CFR Parts 48) preferred; training provided.
• Professional certification or progress toward one (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour General Industry) preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management software (Avetta, ISNetworld).
• Ability to travel up to 10–15% between Fabick CAT locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain OSHA 300/300A/301 logs for applicable establishments and annual 300A posting.
• Maintain MSHA records and reporting.
• Administer Safety Management System (SMS) and safety software – data entry, records, reporting.
• Verify SDS records in 3E database and keep records current.
• Track medical surveillance records and confidentiality retention.
• Maintain document control for safety policies, procedures, and permits.
• Coordinate safety training and maintain training matrix; onboarding support.
• Create micro-training segments based on incidents and STRIDE into Safety.
• Assist in accurate incident entries in SMS for timely FROI filing.
• Track CAPAs to closure and escalate overdue items.
• Assist with workers' comp documentation with Compliance and Leaves Manager.
• Schedule inspections/audits and track corrective actions.
• Compile records for inspections and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain contractor prequalification submissions (Avetta, ISNetworld).
• Analyze safety data and prepare visual reports for leadership.
• Prepare materials for safety team meetings and reviews.
• Assist PPE/safety-supply ordering and track expenses.
• Post regulatory safety communications and support CI teams.
• Provide general admin support to Safety Director and Regional Safety Managers.
