Job summary

Wings Over in Carrboro/Chapel Hill is seeking an Assistant District Manager & Trainer who leads by example, coaches teams, and ensures our wings and guest experiences meet Wings Over standards. This hands-on role trains staff, drives operational excellence, and supports restaurant leaders across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in food service, ServSafe, and a passion for developing people.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of food service experience, including at least 1 year in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant environment.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Confidence managing restaurant operations independently.
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take initiative, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
• A calm, positive, and professional approach under pressure.
• A genuine passion for great food, excellent service, and developing people.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on a hands-on basis and set the tone for a positive, high-energy workplace.
• Coach and develop restaurant teams through training, feedback, and support.
• Support restaurant leaders in maintaining standard operating procedures and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and help teams succeed while upholding Wings Over values.
