Job summary

Cathay Bank is seeking a Regional Relationship Banker II (Project Management) to support branches within the Beverly Hills area, opening new accounts, cross-selling products, and guiding customers to the right bank services. You will travel to branch locations and handle customer inquiries while maintaining security and accuracy in transactions.

This role emphasizes delivering a high-quality customer experience, complying with regulations, and working with partners to expand relationships.

Qualifications

• College degree in business, accounting or finance preferred or related work experience.
• 1-2 years of cash handling, customer service in a retail environment, or sales experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of new accounts, sales experience, or relevant banking experience.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations and work a flexible schedule.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills; able to build lasting relationships.
• Proficiency with data entry, 10-key, banking software; MS Office is a plus.
• Active registration or eligibility for registration under the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of new account opening procedures for bank products/services.
• Answer customer inquiries and cross-sell bank products/services; assist with problem resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and Bank proprietary information.
• Identify sales opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services.
• Provide quality personalized customer service and maintain frequent contact to expand relationships.
• Perform deposits and withdrawal transactions; reconcile cash drawer; process wires.
• Assist with Safe Deposit box operations and ATM balancing; report suspicious activity as required.
