Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Staff Associate for Regional Quality Assurance to support environmental, civil, geotechnical, and construction material testing projects. You will work with senior staff on QA programs, site investigations, and documentation, growing toward licensure while traveling regionally to project sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on fieldwork, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with engineers, geologists, and technicians across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related ABET-accredited field.
• 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Currently pursuing EIT or GIT certification.
• Willingness to travel to local and regional project sites within SC and surrounding states.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager with overseeing inspection, testing, and compliance programs on construction projects.
• Ensure materials, workmanship, and processes follow contract documents, specs, codes, and best practices.
• Manage inspectors and technicians while coordinating with contractors, design professionals, owners, and stakeholders.
• Document and certify construction completed per the site CQA Plan.
• Review QA documentation such as soil lab results, submittal data, and daily field reports.
• Conduct site investigations, field inspections, and data collection to support project objectives.
• Develop foundational knowledge in environmental regulations, civil design principles, geotechnical investigations, and construction material testing under supervision.
• Assist in client communication and maintaining professional demeanor under senior guidance.

Education

Associate degree in CE/EnvEng or related ABET field
