Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking an Engineering Staff Associate to join our Regional Quality Assurance team in South Carolina. The role supports environmental, civil, geotechnical projects and construction material testing, assisting senior staff while building hands-on experience.

Ideal candidates are pursuing EIT/GIT certification with 0-2 years of related experience, and are willing to travel to local and regional project sites.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program in a related field.
• 0-2 years of progressively responsible professional experience.
• Currently in progress towards EIT or GIT certification.
• Willingness to travel regularly to local and regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with overseeing inspection, testing, and compliance programs on complex construction projects.
• Ensure materials, workmanship, and processes adhere to contract documents, specifications, codes, and best practices.
• Manage teams of inspectors and technicians while coordinating with contractors, design professionals, owners, and other stakeholders.
• Document and certify construction per the site's CQA Plan.
• Review soil laboratory and field test results, submittals, and daily field reports.
• Perform site investigations and data collection to support project objectives.
• Develop foundational knowledge in environmental regulations, civil design, geotechnical investigations, and construction material testing.
• Support data analysis and basic report preparation under supervision.
• Learn to pursue EIT/GIT certification and contribute to client communications.
