Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking a Staff Associate for Regional Quality Assurance to join our environmental, civil, and geotechnical teams. You will support inspection, testing, and QA activities across diverse projects and contribute to documentation and compliance efforts on site.

The role emphasizes fieldwork, safety, and learning under senior staff, with potential advancement toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 0-2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields.
• Currently in progress towards Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification.
• Willingness to travel regularly to local and regional project sites with possible overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with overseeing comprehensive inspection, testing, and compliance programs on complex and active construction projects.
• Ensure materials, workmanship, and processes adhere to contract documents, specifications, codes, and best practices.
• Manage teams of inspectors and technicians and coordinate with contractors, design professionals, owners, and other stakeholders.
• Document and certify construction completion in accordance with the site's CQA Plan.
• Review soil laboratory and field test results, submittal data, daily field reports, and construction progress.
• Perform site investigations, field inspections, and data collection to support project objectives.
• Develop foundational knowledge in environmental regulations, civil design, geotechnical investigations, and construction material testing.
