Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking a senior marketing pursuits leader to guide a regional pursuit pod in delivering compelling, differentiated stories that win work and impact clients. You will own performance metrics, shape narratives, and raise delivery quality across multiple large engagements.

You will mentor a marketing team, align outputs with firm strategy, and drive best practices while balancing workloads and developing talent for sustained, high‑impact results.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
• Typically 8+ years of professional services pursuit marketing experience.
• Experience with A/E/C firm preferred.
• InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency.
• MS Office Suite proficiency; strong writing and layout skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns and is accountable for pod-level performance metrics, including win rates, quality scores, and overall delivery health.
• Leads narrative strategy for complex pursuits, ensuring clarity, differentiation, and client alignment.
• Establishes and reinforces quality standards and best practices for marketing deliverables.
• Provides strategic review and guidance to the team on messaging and positioning.
• Ensures outputs align with firm strategy, brand standards and pursuit objectives.
• Leads and develops the Marketing team, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Balances workloads to maintain sustainable delivery and meet business demands.
• Identifies skill gaps and partners with leadership to implement development plans.
• Tracks pod performance metrics and reports them to marketing leadership.
• Translates data trends into actionable insights to improve processes.
• Supports business development efforts with studio leaders and practice marketers.
• Collaborates on competitive intelligence and client research.
• Oversees qualifications packages, proposals, and interview collateral.
• Oversees the pursuit submission process and go/no-go decisions.
• Manages regional project stories for marketing materials with stakeholders.
