Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Regional Discipline Lead for Pumping Systems to drive growth in the western water practice from Denver, CO. The role focuses on technical leadership, project delivery, and market strategy for pumping systems and hydraulics.

The position emphasizes mentoring staff, developing design standards, and coordinating with national and regional leaders to expand client services, with a competitive benefits package and potential for bonuses.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required; M.S. degree preferred.
• Active PE license in AZ, CA, NM, UT (multistate preferred).
• 20+ years in public sector water/wastewater with increasing responsibilities.
• Minimum 10 years project management experience.
• Subject matter expert in pumping systems engineering and design.
• Track record of managing projects including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong client retention and new business development skills.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for pumping systems projects and design teams.
• Establish/refine pumping system design standards and guidelines.
• Engage with clients to maintain high service levels.
• Support pursuit teams with client positioning and marketing.
• Recruit and build a team to deliver and grow backlog.
• Collaborate with water team to enhance growth and visibility.
• Coordinate national client service and project delivery for pumping systems.
• Engage existing local, regional, and national resources.
• Lead engagement with the Hydraulic Institute for growth and technical excellence.
