Job summary

Maryland Management Company is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of multifamily communities. You will manage operations, budgets, maintenance, turnover, and capital projects to optimize occupancy and financial performance.

You will lead onsite teams, source contractors, and ensure adherence to company standards and legal requirements while traveling regularly within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience managing property budgets and financial performance.
• Knowledge of apartment maintenance, unit turnover, building systems, and capital projects.
• Experience recruiting and developing property and maintenance personnel.
• Experience sourcing and managing vendors and contractors.
• Strong leadership, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities.
• Ability to travel regularly across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational and financial performance of an assigned portfolio.
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
• Lead property teams and ensure company standards across the portfolio.
• Recruit, hire, manage, and develop maintenance teams.
• Oversee apartment turnover and ensure units are turned on schedule.
• Maintain property condition through inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Identify and manage capital improvements and major repairs.
• Source and manage third-party contractors and bids.
• Partner with regional marketing and onsite teams to achieve occupancy and leasing goals.
• Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure properties comply with laws and company policies.
