Job summary

Maryland Management Company seeks an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily apartment communities, with responsibility for operational and financial performance, budgeting, maintenance, turnover, capital projects, and occupancy.

You will lead property teams, recruit and develop maintenance staff, manage vendor contracts, supervise turnover, plan preventive maintenance, and pursue continuous efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple properties or a large multifamily community.
• Proven ability to manage property budgets and financial performance.
• Solid knowledge of apartment maintenance, turnover, building systems, and capital projects.
• Experience recruiting, managing, and developing maintenance personnel.
• Experience sourcing and managing vendors and third‑party contractors.
• Strong leadership, financial, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple properties, projects, and priorities.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational and financial performance of an assigned portfolio.
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
• Lead property teams and ensure company standards.
• Recruit, hire, and develop maintenance teams.
• Oversee apartment turnover and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain property condition via inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Identify and manage capital improvements and major repairs.
• Source and evaluate third‑party contractors and oversee projects.
• Partner with marketing and onsite teams to achieve occupancy goals.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
