Job summary

Eaton's North American Sales division seeks a Manager, Project Engineering to lead a technical team of Project Engineers across the Central Region, with a remote-first role and preference for proximity to Eaton facilities within the region. This position reports to the Project Management Leadership Team and coordinates with Field Sales and customers to ensure successful project orders.

Responsibilities include optimizing workload, developing reports in Vista/SAP, and guiding process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of sales, customer service and/or project management/project engineering experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Relocation not available; must reside within MN, IA, MO, IL, WI, MI, IN, KS or OH
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development to Project Engineers supporting Project Managed orders in the Central Region.
• Distribute workload, identify training needs, and ensure efficient use of systems and processes.
• Serve as escalation point for technical and commercial issues.
• Communicate with internal partners and external customers on pricing, configuration changes, and documentation packages.
• Promote the Project Management Organization capabilities to customers, distributors, and sales.
• Identify process improvements and document revised procedures.
• Utilize Vista/SAP, Power BI, BidManager, Microsoft Office, Salesforce/PM Hub to manage orders and workload balance.
• Develop strong working relationships with Field Sales, Project Management Leadership, customers, and division management.
• Coordinate with Technical Services to drive continuous improvement in documentation and configuration support processes.
