Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Project Engineering to lead a technical team supporting Field Project Managed orders in the Central Region. This remote role spans Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, and Ohio, with preference for proximity to a facility for collaboration.

You will oversee workload distribution, training, and consistency of processes, while coordinating with Field Sales, Product lines, and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum 5 years of sales, customer service and/or project management/project engineering experience.
• Relocation not available; candidate must reside within Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, or Ohio.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the technical team of Project Engineers supporting Field Project Managed orders in the Central Region.
• Distribute workload, identify training needs, and ensure consistent use of systems and processes to support orders for customers, Field Sales, and Project Managers.
• Provide escalation point for technical and commercial issues, and coordinate with Product lines, Field Sales, and Project Managers for pricing and application support.
• Promote Project Management Organization capabilities to customers, distributors, and sales.
• Communicate product line changes impacting order management processes.
• Identify process improvements and document/retrain revised processes.
• Use tools (Vista/SAP, Power BI, BidManager, Microsoft Office, Salesforce/PM Hub) to resolve issues on Built-To-Order, Assembled-To-Order, and Engineered-To-Order orders and balance workload.
