Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Regional Project Controls Lead for the US North Central region. You will lead project controls teams, govern regional portfolio performance, and partner with regional leaders on margins, risk, and resourcing.

You will help advance the Project Controls framework and drive capability development across multiple business centers. This role emphasizes strategic leadership, governance, and cross-region collaboration to deliver consistent controls practices and actionable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in project controls, project accounting, finance, or related field.
• Proven success leading teams and influencing senior operational and business leaders across a broad portfolio.
• Advanced understanding of cost-based Earned Value Management, Financial Percent Complete, gross margin, forecasting, DSO, risk, and portfolio governance.
• Experience leading organizational change, building teams, and establishing consistent operating practices across multiple groups.
• Ability to synthesize complex portfolio information into executive-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Controls teams across the region and coordinate priorities with regional leaders.
• Partner on portfolio margin, risk, resourcing, and performance initiatives.
• Review regional reporting to identify trends and opportunities needing action.
• Participate in financial-management forums and provide concise recommendations.
• Monitor regional project performance and address margin impacts with leadership.
• Develop and implement the Project Controls framework, standards, and processes.
• Advise regional leaders on strategy, governance, staffing, and implementation.
• Lead change management and capability development across the region.
• Foster collaboration across regions and share lessons learned.
