Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Regional Program Specialist - Reserve to support Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) and International Services (IS) programs. The role involves deploying on a 6-month overseas assignment with training and mandatory time off, managing volunteers, and coordinating emergency communications for military members and families.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of program management experience, with strong computer and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field is required.
• Minimum of five years related experience in program management is required.
• Requires strong computer skills and excellent public speaking and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate delivery of SAF/IS services and manage program activities within area of responsibility.
• Monitor outcomes and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of program activities.
• Build relationships with military leadership and installation partners to support SAF/IS objectives.
• Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and recognize volunteers across SAF/IS, Disaster Cycle Services, Training Services and Blood Services.
• Coordinate deployments, travel, and logistics for mobile staff and ensure deployment readiness.
• Provide family support services including emergency communications and referrals to resources.
