Job summary

Lufthansa Cargo AG is seeking an experienced operations professional to drive performance and improvements across the Americas. You will coordinate with stations, ground handlers, regional teams, and HQ to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient cargo operations.

Travel across the Americas is required, and you will lead audits, resolve complex problems, and foster strong supplier partnerships to sustain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in air cargo, aviation, logistics, or similar operations.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Americas.
• Legal work permit in the U.S.

Tasks

This is a highly visible role that offers broad exposure to operational, commercial, & strategic topics. You will work closely with stations, ground handling partners, regional teams & headquarters to drive performance, solve complex challenges, and implement sustainable improvements.

What You'll Do:

• Drive operational performance/continuous improvement
• Enhance safety, security, service quality, compliance, reliability & operational efficiency
• Monitor operational performance indicators
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead performance reviews, operational assessments, audits & station visits
• Analyze trends, root causes & operational risks
• Develop sustainable corrective actions
• Act as focal point for operational projects, improvements/strategic initiatives
• Collaborate closely with colleagues at headquarters & across the global network to implement best practices & operational standards
• Manage supplier performance/foster strong partnerships with stakeholders
• Provide operational expertise during irregular operations, escalations & critical situations
• * Takeover of additional tasks when required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/equivalent professional experience
• Experience in Air cargo, aviation, logistics, transportation/comparable operational environment
• Experience working with suppliers, service providers/operational partners
• Proven track record of driving operational improvements and solving complex problems

• Confidence to challenge constructively, drive accountability & hold yourself/others to high standards
