Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an accomplished Regional Preconstruction Business Leader for our North America Energy Services business. This executive will shape regional strategy, influence enterprise priorities, and lead a critical segment at the intersection of growth, customer value, and operational excellence.

You will oversee profitability, forecasting, workforce planning, and execution across Performance Contracting, Design-Build, and Turnkey opportunities, partnering with Sales,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in energy services or preconstruction.
• Proven success leading teams and delivering strategic business results.
• Strong understanding of market drivers, risk, development strategy, and customer solutioning.
• Experience managing performance metrics like project schedules, budgets, and scope.
• Deep knowledge of Energy Services solutions, preconstruction practices, and financial and technical solution development.
• Significant experience with Design-Build and ESPC delivery models.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, portfolio prioritization, business case evaluation, and Operating Income management.
• Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
• Executive presence, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the region’s preconstruction business, with accountability for growth, profitability, forecasting accuracy, workforce planning, utilization, and overall business performance.
• Shape regional strategy, investment priorities, and portfolio direction across the Energy Services opportunity landscape.
• Translate enterprise and regional priorities into operating plans, execution strategies, and measurable business outcomes.
• Lead strategic alignment across regional sales and operation teams to ensure focus on the highest-value opportunities and investments.
