Job summary

Portwest is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover Colorado and Utah. You will sell PPE and workwear to distributors, resellers, and wholesalers, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

The role requires field visits, relationship building, and ongoing account development across the region. Applicants should have 2–5 years in PPE/workwear sales, a valid driving licence, and a proven ability to grow business with distributors.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience selling PPE, workwear or safety wear.
• Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller or agent.
• Sales experience in related industries such as Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MROs.
• Drive to continue sales growth of Portwest through field sales.
• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout your designated region.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
• Positive attitude with a winning mentality.
• Excellent team player.

Responsibilities

• Build quality relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors, resellers, and wholesalers.
• Identify high-potential customers and plan their development.
• Identify new business opportunities and create sales plans.
• Engage in consultative selling to meet customers' needs with Portwest solutions.
• Develop clear proposals/quotations for customers.
