Job summary

Chapman Management Group is seeking a compassionate Regional Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities in the Washington, DC area. The role emphasizes leadership, resident well-being, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead site teams, coordinate with leasing, maintenance, and compliance, conduct quarterly visits, and ensure LIHTC, HUD and related programs meet requirements while delivering high-quality care to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of property management experience.
• Experience leading multi-site portfolios.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency with property management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a portfolio of apartment communities with affordable housing compliance.
• Lead and motivate site teams, coordinating leasing, maintenance, and resident services.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (LIHTC, HUD, tax credit programs) and timely reporting.
• Manage budgets, revenue optimization, cost controls, and financial performance.
• Inspect properties, implement strategic plans, and drive high resident satisfaction.
• Collaborate with government agencies and auditors as needed.
