Job summary

Carolina CAT in Charlotte, NC seeks an Aftermarket Sales Manager to lead all parts and service sales within the territory. You will direct a team of Product Support Sales Reps, drive revenue growth, and expand Caterpillar parts and labor market share while building strong customer and supplier relationships.

The role requires directing a disciplined cadence of standard work, KPI reviews, and collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and Sales Operations. Travel within the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• College or technical degree preferred.
• Experience as PSSR or product support/parts and service sales manager with a track record of meeting/exceeding sales, market share and profit goals.
• Demonstrated commitment to development by building and developing a sales team.
• Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly at all levels of the organization.
• Strong business sense and experience in industrial/heavy equipment parts and service.
• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed to support PSSR coverage and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan for parts and service sales and monitor budget performance for the PSSR team.
• Support growth and profitability of Caterpillar parts market share across all Caterpillar parts commodities.
• Manage growth and profitability of labor market share through salesmanship and campaigns by the PSSR team.
• Direct, motivate, develop and manage PSSR staff to achieve territory goals including accountability, training and KPI reviews.
• Manage customer call cycle coverage across the PSSR team to ensure a diverse customer base.
• Maintain relationship with Caterpillar and field representatives to support service programs and territory goals.
• Ensure PSSR team maintains accurate customer account information and CRM data.
• Collaborate with Service, Parts, Warranty, Sales to ensure work is performed as quoted and scheduled.
• Serve as escalation point for customer relationships within the territory.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales Operations and Finance to refresh the aftermarket account coverage model and contribute to the Sales Management Operating Model.
• Establish a cadence of team and individual touchpoints for accountability and pipeline visibility.
