City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Parks and Recreation seeks a Regional Park Manager I to oversee Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park and related facilities.

You will lead daily operations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and manage concessions and permits while guiding a diverse team. The role includes budgeting, staff recruitment, and ongoing training to elevate grounds, turf and facility maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• Three (3) years of experience in managing the overall operation of a major park (e.g., district park) or similar facility.
• Knowledge of business management, public relations, and supervision.
• Knowledge of turf management, budget preparation, and basic accounting/record-keeping.
• Ability to plan, direct and supervise staff; develop policies and maintenance programs.
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with staff, departments, community groups, and the public.

Aufgaben

• Supervise maintenance and repairs of fields, courts, landscaping, archery range, and facilities.
• Oversee park operations, including rules, scheduling, permits, promotions, and concession contracts.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget request; manage the budget.
• Recruit, interview and select employees.
• Develop and deliver training for new and current staff.
