The City of Plantation Parks and Recreation Department seeks a capable administrator to oversee the operation and maintenance of City park facilities. The role directs park grounds, manages supervising staff, and coordinates construction projects with independent judgment.

The incumbent will guide policy implementation, budget planning, and compliance with city procurement rules, including incident response during emergencies.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with major in park management or related field.
• Considerable experience in park operations and maintenance.
• Equivalent education or experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Directs the maintenance and operations of City parks, athletic fields and related outdoor facilities.
• Plans, schedules and supervises the work of personnel engaged in park construction, maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepares departmental budget requests and proposals; prepares specifications on equipment and materials used in operation and maintenance.
• Ensures compliance with City codes and procurement policies and procedures.
