Responsibilities include planting and maintaining landscapes, applying treatments, performing repairs, cleaning restrooms, and assisting visitors while enforcing park rules. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.

Qualifikationen

• Identify and care for plants, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
• Operate hand and power equipment and grounds tools.
• Perform construction/maintenance tasks.
• Heavy manual work in buildings and park grounds.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Interact politely with the public and enforce park rules.
• Prepare simple oral and written reports.

Aufgaben

• Maintain landscaped areas, playing fields, roadsides, and parking lot islands by planting, trimming, pruning, mowing, watering, and caring for native Hawaiian plants and other vegetation.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other treatments to promote plant health and maintain the appearance of park grounds.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on park facilities, playground equipment, irrigation systems, fences, benches, restrooms, and other park features.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and other park facilities, replenish supplies, and service and perform routine maintenance on mowers, vehicles, and other equipment.
• Assist park visitors by providing information on park rules and regulations, checking permits, and addressing violations in a courteous and professional manner.
