United Community is seeking a Regional Support Specialist to act as a subject-matter expert and liaison for branches within a designated region. You will drive operational excellence, review risk, and support branch teams and related departments.

Responsibilities include coordinating branch operations, training, audits, exception resolution, and travel to branches. A background in banking and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least two years of branch banking experience.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability are essential.
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison for branch personnel on deposits, operations, risk reviews, and exception tracking.
• Maintain knowledge of deposit systems and operational procedures.
• Provide training, coaching, and support to reinforce safety and soundness.
• Conduct quarterly cash audits and monthly risk checkpoints.
• Review exception reports and develop plans to reduce exceptions.
• Review teller over/short reports and assist in resolution.
• Communicate routinely with Regional Banking Managers and Branch Managers.
• Travel to branches for routine visits (up to 75%).
• Assist with SOP bulletins, manuals, and job aids.
• Partner with Training and other departments to optimize performance.
• Participate in M&A activities and branch openings/closings.
