Job summary

AMECO is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead profitable operations across our country sales, service, rental, parts, and fleet/site services. You will direct teams in a wide geographic area and drive customer-focus initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety and quality policies.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and strategic thinking, with travel to various locations. You will oversee project staffing, bids, and client communications to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required; two years preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and visitors.
• Knowledge of local, state/provincial and federal statutes and guidelines.
• 11 years of experience in the construction equipment industry preferred.
• 8 years of experience in management and P&L.
• Experience managing multi-location operations within a large region.
• Strong budgeting and math skills.
• Experience in sales bids and client presentations.
• Extensive knowledge of the equipment industry, competitors, and trends.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage assets to maximize operating return on assets and profitability.
• Develop close relationships with major customers and instill customer focus culture.
• Support marketing and sales strategies, proposals, and project alignment.
• Develop project execution plans and staffing for site and fleet services.
• Ensure proper charging for services, materials, tools, and equipment and collect past due accounts.
• Promote HR, Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
• Coach staff and provide training and performance feedback.
• Leverage resources to enforce policies across business lines and locations.
• Analyze situations, forecast issues, and recommend actions.
• Organize multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Plan own work and tasks from management staff; ensure compliance with policies.
• Travel as needed for business matters and meet attendance expectations.
