Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks a Staff Analyst to support Regional Operations at the depot level. You will analyze data from UTS, Spear, DOBIC, and other databases to provide quantitative insights aligned with management goals.

Responsibilities include payroll coordination, absence tracking, and internal-control audits. The role reports to the General Superintendent, Support Services, and offers growth within a large public organization.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interface effectively with senior management, staff, and MTA affiliates and external organizations.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to depot management by providing data/reports to assist in improving depot resources.
• Liaise with the Business Service Center (BSC) for payroll, FMLA, procurement, invoice audits, payments and approvals.
• Contribute to improvement of Employee Availability by tracking long-term absences.
• Audit depot processes to ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Reconcile employee headcount, transfers, overtime usage and pay hour variances.
• Assume all administrative responsibilities in the absence of the General Superintendent, Support Services.
