Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Performance Manager- Operations Analysis to manage analytical processes for the Operations Department and lead new data collection initiatives. The role focuses on building KPIs, reporting, and performance improvements for Metro-North Railroad at the New York, NY location.

The candidate will develop and validate systems and reports, present findings to senior leaders, and collaborate across teams to drive timely, data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; four additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 3 years of data analysis experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor KPIs for the Operations Department and benchmark against peers.
• Prepare presentations for senior management and board-level review.
• Improve operational performance metrics such as OTP, service delivery, and fleet readiness.
• Support development and validation of data systems and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Operations team members to ensure timely completion of assignments.
