Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director, Oncology Field Reimbursement to lead a regional FRM team and drive compliant access across the oncology portfolio. The role partners with Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to execute portfolio strategy and launch readiness.

You will build and scale a high-performing team, coach through field activities, and ensure effective payer engagement, coding, and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field reimbursement, market access, or related healthcare role.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading field-based teams.
• Oncology/hemato-oncology exposure strongly preferred.
• Experience with launch readiness and portfolio expansion.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned geography.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and manage a regional Oncology FRM team.
• Hire and onboard a portfolio-ready team with clear role expectations.
• Set expectations for field execution, engagement, and compliant resource use.
• Coach FRMs through field travel, team meetings, and business reviews.
• Educate HCP staff and stakeholders on coverage, billing, reimbursement, and affordability support.
• Translate portfolio strategy into regional execution plans and launch readiness.
• Partner cross-functionally to define training, tools, workflows, and feedback loops.
• Monitor activity, capacity, and performance through analytics and field insights.
