Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, delivering a consistent, high‑quality client experience with clear expectations for service, execution, and results.

As a hands-on leader, you will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, ensure office readiness, staff development, and strong performance across locations, balancing strategy with in‑office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail, service, or operations.
• Strong client-centric mindset delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business results while managing day-to-day operations across locations.
• Experience leading change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills including escalations.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Frequent travel across offices.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 assigned offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact to reinforce strengths and improve gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools while leading by example.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance outcomes to strengthen teams.
• Own revenue, growth, and performance across assigned offices.
• Monitor metrics, identify trends, and implement actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
