Job summary

YAI is seeking a Registered Nurse leader to supervise nursing staff across California, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care across residential programs. The role includes liaison with HR, staff development, and 24/7 on-call coverage as needed.

The position requires an active CA RN license, BLS certification, and at least five years of nursing experience with a minimum of three years in I/DD settings, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in CA.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• 5+ years nursing experience including 3+ years with I/DD.
• 2+ years supervisory/administrative experience.
• On-call availability beyond regular hours.
• Willingness to travel across California as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision of nursing staff across California and in residential homes.
• Collaborate with HR to recruit and orient nursing staff.
• Oversee RN supervision, mentoring and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and trainings (DDS, CCL, HIPAA).
• Direct nursing care in staff shortages as needed.
• Maintain and update nursing policies and forms with leadership input.
• Lead regional nursing committees and training sessions.
• Monitor medication administration and audit for errors; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clinics/pharmacies and regional leadership for medical needs.
