Job summary

YAI is seeking a Program Administrator to oversee programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will supervise 10-25 direct and indirect reports, mentor staff, and collaborate with clinical teams to implement person-centered plans while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and California licenses or progress toward them, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience serving or providing direct support.
• High school diploma and 3 years of direct support experience with 1 year supervisory experience.
• Registered Behavior Technician or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Must obtain California Group Home Administrator or Adult Residential Facility Administrator certification within 90 days.
• Valid Driver’s License and knowledge of CA Lanterman Act and Title 17/22 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees milieu and therapeutic programming with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensures appropriate supervision to protect health, safety and habilitation of individuals.
• Provides leadership and develops a treatment team for quality outcomes.
• Coordinates IDT members and ensures implementation of person-centered plans.
• Participates in hiring, supervision and staff evaluations.
• Organizes trainings and maintains compliance with regulatory standards.
• Liaisons with families, external supports and community partners.
• Manages documentation, billing oversight, and regulatory reporting.
• Ensures budgetary adherence and program operations within guidelines.
