Job summary

Alpha reimagines schooling by placing growth through relationships at the center of enrollment. The Director of Membership and Engagement leads regional efforts to connect families, hosts gatherings from eight to 150 attendees, and builds a robust ambassador network across major U.S. cities.

The role emphasizes personal referrals as the primary driver of enrollment growth, with focus on partnerships, masterclasses, and internships for families and students, while maintaining CRM records.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience building communities or relationship programs in K-12 education, membership organizations or a comparable business, with growth through referrals.
• Experience personally designing and delivering at least 20 gatherings, from small dinners to open events with >100 attendees, with budgets.
• A record of building relationships with public officials or business executives that yielded measurable results.
• Consistent use of a CRM or relationship-tracking system to record contacts, referrals and follow-ups.
• Established local network in Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas or New York City and willingness to relocate.
• Availability to host on weekday evenings and weekends, and to travel locally.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver several gatherings each month, including open events, city-grade dinners, and family retreats, within budget.
• Secure venues, hosts and vendors, and personally host events.
• Recruit current parents as ambassadors, connect them with prospective families, including those touring schools.
• Build relationships with public officials and business executives to secure venues and support new campus openings.
• Connect enrolled families with parent circles and students with mentors, masterclasses and internships; welcome alumni within 30 days of graduation.
• Record every gathering and introduction in the CRM, maintaining accurate records of referrals and opportunities created.
