Job summary

Hudson Valley Credit Union is seeking a dynamic Member Service Specialist to provide top-tier member service and accurate transaction processing across multiple branches in the Hudson Valley region. You will travel within a cluster of branches, floating to Latham, Malta, Colonie and other locations as needed, with a float stipend.

Responsibilities include handling cash, opening new memberships and accounts, cross-selling products, and guiding members to the best channels for transactions.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales experience within a financial institution or retail environment is required.
• Notary Public certification within 12 months of hire is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Experience in teller or cash handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process transactions and educate members on channels like Internet Banking, mobile app, audio response, and Contact Center.
• Handle large volumes of cash and negotiable items; assist with branch operations and proofs.
• Open new memberships, accounts, loans, and process associated transactions; refer members to branch partners for related services.
• Follow policies and use systems to cross-sell HVCU products and services.
• Acquire knowledge of products/services and train new Relationship Advisors as needed.
• Meet or exceed individual and team goals through the Sales and Service model and support promotional programs.
• Adhere to all policy requirements and participate in required training including BSA.
