Job summary

Hudson Valley Credit Union seeks a Relationship Advisor to provide high-level member service and accurate transaction processing across a cluster of branches. You will apply a consultative, needs-based sales approach to meet members' financial needs and cross-sell HVCU products.

Travel to Latham, Malta, Colonie locations as needed; float stipend available. Ideal candidates have cash handling and at least 1 year of customer service/sales experience in financial or retail settings, plus a valid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or state equivalent required.
• NYS Notary Public license achieved within 12 months of obtaining position, required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 1 year customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment, required.
• Previous teller or cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process transactions and educate members on convenient channels (in-branch, Internet Banking, mobile app, audio response, Contact Center).
• Resolve member complaints quickly and involve other areas as needed; support inbound calling for the Contact Center.
• Open new memberships, accounts, loans and process related transactions; refer members to branch partners for additional services.
• Follow all policies and procedures; utilize programs and systems to assist with cross selling HVCU products and services.
• Acquire knowledge of products through ongoing training; train new Relationship Advisors as needed.
• Meet or exceed individual and team goals by applying the Sales and Service model in all member interactions.
• Adhere to Credit Union policies, participate in required training (BSA), and engage in teams and projects as opportunities arise.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
