Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (PhD/MD/DO/PharmD/DNP) to lead scientific exchange, research, and congress support across a multi-state US territory.

You will engage with national and regional scientific leaders to share company-approved medical information and answer questions on products and trials. Applicants should have a terminal degree and at least 3 years of relevant therapeutic experience, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
• Proven competence with at least 3 years in a relevant therapeutic area beyond degree.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong ethics knowledge and regulatory awareness in pharma.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to ensure access to approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains company medical contact.
• Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries to appropriate resources.
• Keeps current knowledge of AOI and therapeutic area dynamics.
