Aunt Martha’s Health and Wellness in Aurora, IL is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to provide frontline administrative support in our busy health centers. You will handle patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and collect co-pays, delivering a welcoming front-office experience.

The role is based in Aurora three days per week with two days floating to Carpentersville, Woodstock, and Joliet West.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel to regional locations 2 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Register new and returning patients in the EHR, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff professionally.
• Support multiple health centers in the designated region with 3 days/week at Aurora and 2 days/week floating.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and submit claims as directed by clinical staff.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and end-of-day closing.
• Complete required Core Curriculum training.
