Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for a full-time role with a 7:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule and occasional travel to other sites. You will handle phone tasks, appointment scheduling, co-pay collection, patient registrations, and insurance verification, while providing essential front-office support.

You may perform basic vitals and assist with phlebotomy or injections.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training provided for those without MA training.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments.
• Complete patient registrations.
• Provide administrative support to the physician practice.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight).
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
